Half the year is almost gone! Can't believe we are in June already, but I'm excited for the warm days, the summer events and hopefully lots of beautiful weather with not too much heat, especially for the outdoor events in July and August. As far as events coming up for NotesNBling, June has been a month I left open for helping husband with a BBQ cooking event beginning of June (which has dropped off this year so I'll be looking for a beginning of June event for the jewelry) and then his TNT fireworks tent selling season starts June 21 through July 5 at Coborns Grocery Parking lot in Sauk Rapids. So the next events for NotesNBling will be starting back up in July: UPCOMING EVENTS: Date: Thursday, July 17, 2025 Event: Art Fair In The Gardens (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-4pm Where: Munsinger Gardens, 1301 Killian Blvd Booth Location: Lower Gardens, across from Porta Potties 😊 Town: St. Cloud MN Date: Saturday, July 19, 2025 Event: Pine City Art Fest (NNB only) Time: 9am-3pm Where: Robinson Park, 200-298 5th Street SE Town: Pine City, MN Date: Friday, Saturday, Sunday July 25, 26 & 27, 2025 Event: Glenwood Waterama Boardwalk Sale (NNB only) Time: 10am-5pm (each day) Where: Waterama City Park Town: Glenwood, MN Date: Friday & Saturday, August 1 & 2, 2025 Event: Flekke Fest (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: Friday: 9am-4pm, Saturday: 9am - 3pm Where: (booth location) at KR-Digital, 15 Central Ave. S Town: Elbow Lake, MN As always, keep checking my NotesNBling Facebook page: Facebook.com/NotesNBling for any last minute shows. NOTESNBLING JEWELRY: The last few weeks have been busy with life things such as helping a friend, appointments and a mini vacation to Illinois - hunting for treasures going thrifting. But May was super busy creating things.... so here are just a few examples: The sparkle bracelets have been so loved by my customers I had to do a major RESTOCK! I made a few more with NEW colors and new designs!! The Square Hoop earrings are handcrafted, hammered non-tarnish wire and I added genuine Turquoise stone chips on the inside. The sunflower earrings are all Czech beads with tiny brass Vintaj leaves and the last pair of earrings in the pictures are also with vintage Czech beads, Vintaj chain and handcrafted middle bar. All earrings are on sterling silver ear wires. I'll be busy in the coming days creating more fun items. Amongst those on my list to do are some little girls bracelets, bracelets featuring a summery look with more freshwater pearls and turquoise and necklaces as well for the summer. Can't wait to show you! See you at the shows! LASTLY:
I've had such a fun trip into Amish country in Illinois last month! We rented an Airbnb and had a relaxing time there and I mapped out a route in the neighborhood for my daily walks that I'm determined to keep up since I joined the gym this year. It was fun discovering new thrift & vintage shops, enjoy some Amish food, grab my favorite spices at the Amish store (only place that has them) which I had discovered a few years ago when my friend lived in that area and I went to visit her. It was great seeing the friends she made while she lived there and connecting with a fellow artist as well. So as we've been on the road, this scripture is just perfect: Joshua 1:9 - Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Sometimes on the roads....yikes, you have to be courageous these days. LOL. Thankfully we were able to take back roads most of the way! So much more relaxing and lots of scenery and other sweet surprises! Until next time.... enjoy the warmer days and sunshine! Sam

Well, so it seems that we finally have reached Spring in MN! 🙌🏼☀️ I'm so thrilled to see the wonderful warm temperatures. Too bad it won't stay like this without heat and mosquitos! LOL. Saturday we had a wonderful small little market event in Clearwater MN at the Clearwater Corners Restaurant & Bar. We were set up in the small patio area, just 8 of us crafters. It was really neat and we met new vendor friends, bought some cool stuff and it was very successful for the jewelry! It's always fun for me when ladies come and love my designs and enjoy trying on items to see which one fits their look they envision. Now on to what's coming up the rest of May. UPCOMING EVENTS: Date: Saturday, May 17, 2025 Event: 3BC Vendor Market (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-5pm Where: Bobbing Bobber Brewing Co., 900 Hwy 15 S Town: Hutchinson, MN In past years I've generally haven't booked any shows in June due to husband's TNT Fireworks tent at Sauk Rapids Coborns location. We try to take some time for rest before 2.5 weeks of being in that tent for 10 hours each day. So if you are looking for fireworks, our tent hours are 10-8 every day, except Sundays from 12-8. We should start being open June 21 through July 5. For other show updates, check the "Events" page and I'll keep you posted should new shows come about early June. THE JEWELRY: I've been making some re-stocks of popular items such as my Azurite Malachite Stone key chains, the Kazuri Necklaces and some new designs that are already selling because....well, they are cool. LOL. The earrings are a new form of material for me. I'm not the fondest of 3D-Print items as the market seems to be so over saturated, however many of my customers are looking for super light weight earrings and these are PERFECT for that. I discovered these at a bead show and they were made by the Taylors Falls Bead Store in Minnesota. This way it gives me the option to have something super cool, but also lightweight. The necklaces both sold at this last show, but I wanted to show you these because they are just so cool! I love finding neat items in thrift/antique/specialty stores and occasionally I find something awesome at a yard sale. It's fun to give things new life when I take apart the old item (like a bracelet for example) and make it into a pendant as in the last necklace on the pictures. I added a Cloisonné bead to it and used vintage Czech beads I dug out of the drawers at the Taylors Falls Bead Store. My last customer on Saturday totally fell in love with that necklace and I happened to have a scroll heart earring pair that matched! She was thrilled! More items are in the works for upcoming shows! LASTLY:
Mother's Day is coming up and I had better get my mother-in-laws card in the mail today!! Nothing like last minute...... With the nice weather (in MN at least) I'm hoping for a wonderful warm weekend and maybe a cook-out or two. I'm looking forward to being in Hutchinson on the 17th of May and praying for a non-windy event for once as it usually has always been super windy.... But I can't wait to see all my customers from that show and hug a neck or two and have some fun with the ladies "playing" with jewelry. I leave you with a word of encouragement I read this morning by Charles Stanley: "You should never feel like you're alone. Why? Simply because you're not! Once you trust Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, the Holy Spirit seals you in Him. You will never walk alone, work alone, live alone, or die alone. You have Him for all eternity."..... John 14:18: I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:27: Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. Until next month. Blessings to you all, Sam Things have been progressing a little slower than I wanted to with the shopping page and adding more items. First comes the custom orders and the shows that are scheduled and we had a vacation time thrown into the midst down to Baton Rouge for hubby's bowling nationals tournament. It was really nice to be in warmer weather and lots of sunshine, that's for sure. Being back in MN right before the snow hit wasn't too exciting, but it's also time for me to get caught up with a few more custom orders now that products have come in to finish those and of course to work on the shopping page... Also both my websites www.NotesNBling.com and www.SamScales.com all point to this same website now. Just in case some of you have been wondering what happened to SamScales.com music page. It's still all there under the tabs. (I have you know that I actually figured all that out how to do it on GoDaddy on my own! That's an accomplishment for this non-tech person. Haha.) UPCOMING EVENTS: Date: Saturday, Apr. 5, 2025 Event: Sartell Winter Farmers Market (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-1pm Where: Sartell Community Center, 850 19th Street South Town: Sartell, MN Date: Sunday, Apr. 13, 2025 Event: Roadside Tavern's Spring Market (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-2pm Where: Roadside Tavern, 531 Main Street Town: Roscoe, MN (Notice I had the date wrong (April 6th)...so I apologize for the mistake) Date: Saturday, May 3, 2025 Event: Clearwater Corners Spring Market (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-4pm Where: Clearwater Corners Restaurant, 720 County Road 75 NW Town: Clearwater, MN THE JEWELRY: Again as I mentioned before, I now have a shopping page on this website powered through Square. Can't wait to see how it all works with a first purchase through the site! Here are a few of the latest items I've created, some being custom orders too, which I can re-create should someone desire a similar design. I'll be making a couple more of the Kazuri Necklaces. They have been a sought after item, which is really cool. Also got some more of the cool Howlite stone crosses in to make more bracelets and make some as pendants for leather necklaces. All to come soon. LASTLY:
Ah if only the time was available to get everything done I would like to accomplish in one day. Maybe my list is too long, haha. Anyhow. I'll be working on the shopping page to add more items. Thank you all for your patience. Until people find the page and actively shop, I have a little bit of time to get used to all the dynamics of a shopping page, listing items and making sure all shows up and works. And again.... I thank you all for your support of my lil business! See you at the shows!! Sam March has arrived like a lion. Here it's been almost Spring like in temps and yesterday a snow storm blew in with a vengeance especially southern and eastern Minnesota. Thankfully here it was just about an inch, but with the wind blowing there's been a lot of blizzard conditions. Aside from the weather, I'm ready to create some more Spring/Summer items and finally worked on this website to reflect a more updated version of the current happenings in the studio with the jewelry more in the forefront than the music. NotesNBling reflects both and so I worked on this website with a new look - AND - finally a SHOPPING page for the jewelry. On the shopping page items will be slowly listed and eventually will get categories such as Necklaces, Bracelets, Earrings, etc for easier searching. It will take me some time because even listing on my own website takes a lot of learning and remembering how to do the listings so that they actually show up on the page. Yeah, that one was a head scratcher for sure! Also wanted to let you know that both my websites www.NotesNBling.com and www.SamScales.com all point to this same website now. (I have you know that I actually figured all that out how to do it on GoDaddy on my own! That's an accomplishment for this non-tech person. Haha.) Now on to the upcoming events, March is a busy one! UPCOMING EVENTS: Date: Saturday, Mar. 1, 2025 Event: Sartell Winter Farmers Market (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-1pm Where: Sartell Community Center, 850 19th Street South Town: Sartell, MN Date: Saturday, Mar. 8, 2025 Event: Monticello Women of Today's Spring Craft Show (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 9am-3pm Where: Monticello Community Center, 505 Walnut Street Town: Monticello, MN Date: Saturday, March 15, 2025 Event: Lake Wobegon Community Expo (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-2pm Where: Albany Area Schools/Blattner Energy Community Center, Town: Albany, MN Date: Saturday, Apr. 5, 2025 Event: Sartell Winter Farmers Market (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-1pm Where: Sartell Community Center, 850 19th Street South Town: Sartell, MN For more events, please check the "Events" tab. THE JEWELRY: Normally I would post pictures of some of my designs I've been working on lately here in this section, but with the shopping page up, you can take a look there of what's been on the design table as of late. Soon there will be a category of "New Arrivals" as well. The men's line of bracelets has been really a welcomed addition by many of my customers, guys and ladies alike and I just love the designs with the Czech beads and the chunky leather!. Since I make my bracelets in different sizes which also includes people like me with super tiny wrists, or people who have bigger boned wrists, I may not always have your size. If there's a bracelet you like and for some reason don't see it in your size, you are welcome to contact me to see if I can make one in your size. I've done that plenty of times for my customers because it is really hard to include everybody in a design when at times I have a limited supply of a certain color beads or leather - or the magnetic clasps on hand. New also will be the "story" necklaces with beads and charms on a chain with front closure and a restock will be happening soon with some of the lightweight beach glass necklaces. I've created a bunch of new opaque colored keychains and wooden keychains ....so be on the lookout for those at the shows. LASTLY:
Again I'm really thrilled to be able to offer a shopping page that is powered through Square, which is a payment system I use at my shows as well. Grateful to see you all at the shows and the Farmers Market on March 1 welcomed some new faces with lots of hugs, stories, laughter and "play time" with my jewelry. Thank you all for your support of my lil business! See you at the shows!! Sam We have made it through January!! Yay.....and it was a cold one up here in the North for us. So now going into February that means we are a tad closer to Spring. If you have looked for us at the Sartell Farmers Market the first Saturday of the month, we weren't there as an organization had booked out the whole Community Center. The optional date was Saturday February 8, but everyone cancelled due to scheduling conflicts of 3 of vendors. I would have been the only one there.... 😳 I posted on my Facebook page that it was cancelled and the Farmers Market will resume on Saturday, March 1. UPCOMING EVENTS: Date: Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025 Event: Ham Radio Days & Craft Show(NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-2pm Where: National Guard Armory, 1710 Veterans Drive Town: St. Cloud, MN Date: Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025 Event: Gathering In The Arts (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 11 am-4 pm Where: St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 219 2nd Street N Town: Sartell, MN Date: Saturday, Mar. 1, 2025 Event: Sartell Winter Farmers Market (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 10am-1pm Where: Sartell Community Center, 850 19th Street South Town: Sartell, MN Date: Saturday, Mar. 8, 2025 Event: Monticello Women of Today's Spring Craft Show (NNB & Sauce/Crafts) Time: 9am-3pm Where: Monticello Community Center, 505 Walnut Street Town: Monticello, MN NOTES-N-BLING Jewelry: I've been working really hard on jewelry pieces in January for the Cowgirl Luncheon in Jordan which took place on the last Saturday of that month. I still have some unsold items I made for that show which I think are just so super pretty. Here are a few sneak peak photos: I've started a brand new MEN's LINE!! So excited as many have asked, especially for bracelets. So this is just a sneak peek here (you will be able to find more photos on my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/NotesNBling) in the next coming days.... More designs are planned, including some necklaces. Hubby cut out a display wood piece for me I need to finish yet and have ready for the next shows. The horse necklaces are special to me as I love the pink opal and the gemstone heishi beads! They are just gorgeous! The howling wolf is the second of two I scored, so this is the last and only one for a while until hopefully I can find them again. The wolf howls at an Azurite Magnasite rough stone focal, he has a small charm of the same stone and a leather fringe. The leather necklace part features Apple Jasper, Denim Lapis and Picasso Czech. At the moment the Tucson AZ Gem show is happening, one place I've been wanting to visit for years but haven't had the opportunity yet. It's probably best if I travel with someone who is experienced in being there and knows where the great places are to go to. So right nowI have a fellow artist shopping in Tucson - and boy oh boy, so many gorgeous beads she's getting. I have bought a few from her but have to limit my spending tremendously, so it's been hard to choose as some things I have to grab quick before they are gone.... So soon there will be some VERY LIMITED Navajo Pearl items in my inventory, once they arrive and I finalize my ideas and designs.... LASTLY:
I'm so pumped that I actually started picking up my guitar again and practiced for an hour or so per day a few days in a row. The last couple days paperwork has been dragging me over to get them done, but I'm not stopping again because I need to get back in vocal and guitar playing shape!. Here I bought my favorite guitar last May and hardly have played it. It's been quite busy with designing, craft/art shows and now the dreaded income tax paperwork. I sure wish they'd make that go away forever... Anyhow, so it's been really nice to play and exercise my rusty voice (yikes!!) and for my fingers to develop guitar string callouses again so they don't hurt so much after an hour of playing. Can you imagine, I used to play/sing for 3 hours at times in one shot! That's something I no longer can do - for now anyways. Now I wish you all a wonderful February and Valentines Day and I hope Spring arrives soon! Lots of love, Sam |

Psalm 100 Scripture
1 Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. 3 Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. 5 For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. Archives
